- Effective Conflict Resolution
It is easy to see that when you have two or more people together, you have the potential for a conflict to erupt. Most people find conflict difficult to deal with, so they avoid intervening, and in most instances the issues become greater. Resolving conflict effectively can provide a wonderful opportunity to facilitate understanding and promote workplace harmony. This ½ day session provides strategies and practical solutions for resolving conflict in the workplace.
- Dispute Mediation For Supervisors / Managers
Two employees are embroiled in a dispute with each other. Do you know how to mediate as a Supervisor or Manager? This one day workshop will provide a range of strategies and techniques to assist you to mediate disputes. The workshop enables you to assist the parties to systematically isolate the issues, develop options for resolutions and reach agreements that accommodate the needs of all parties. The workshop aims to provide Supervisors and Managers with enhanced skills in negotiating workplace disputes.
- Managing Workplace Grievances
Upset with someone or perceive their behaviour to be inappropriate? Then simply lodge a workplace grievance! Seriously though, most formal grievances can be prevented if they are dealt with at the local level. Ranging from simple misunderstandings, interpersonal issues to serious concerns such as discrimination, bullying, harassment and violence, workplace grievances are common. The responsibility for managing workplace grievances between staff resides with supervisors and managers. By following simple processes, you will be able to easily manage workplace grievances. Practical processes and strategies for managing staff issues are given in this training workshop.
- Grievance Officer Training
Wouldn’t it be great to have someone in your workplace who is trained to deal with employee grievances? Grievance Officers are specially trained to assist and intervene in staff issues. They can provide immediate help to distressed employees and frequently defuse potentially difficult situations before they escalate. This two day workshop equips Grievance Officers with an understanding of the legislation, role of the Grievance Officer, processes for resolution and practical techniques to defuse conflict and stress. At the completion of the training, participants will be invited to join in the Emergency Support Network’s exclusive on-line Grievance Officer Network.
- Grievance Officer Network
All participants who undertake the Emergency Support Network’s valuable training will be provided the option of joining the ESN Grievance Officer Network. Emergency Support Network facilitates a Google group for Grievance Officers, from a range of agencies across Australia and New Zealand, to share resources and support each other. The Network is supervised by experienced Psychologists to ensure the discussions are appropriate. Participants of the Emergency Support Network’s training will also be given access to a range resources and articles, accessed through our member’s only section of our website.
